The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid
A Memoir
By Bill Bryson
This is a darling memoir of growing up in 1950's America. Of course, I can't speak from experience, but this baby boomer more than adequately captures the zeitgeist of that decade: the innocence and the ignorance, and sitting in a lawn chair in the desert, donning shades, watching the atom bomb detonate.
